Rawalpindi: The promotions were sanctioned by the Pakistan Army Promotion Board, led by General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) during a meeting at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
The newly promoted officers come from various corps, including the Armed Corps, Artillery, Air Defence, Aviation, Infantry, Military Intelligence, and EME. Among the promoted officers are the current military secretaries to the President and the Prime Minister.
The promoted officers are Brigadier Adnan Sultan, Brigadier Usman Kiyani, Brigadier Imran Sartaj, Brigadier Yahya Usman, Brigadier Usman Iqbal, Brigadier Julian Moazzam James, Brigadier Saeed Anwar, Brigadier Arfan Ramay, Brigadier Attiq, Brigadier Mehr Omer, Brigadier Imtiaz Gillani, Brigadier Ahmed Jawad, Brigadier Tajdeed, Brigadier Bilal Sarfraz, Brigadier Khurram Shabbir, Brigadier Faisal Saud, Brigadier Abid Mazhar, Brigadier Shehryar Muneer, Brigadier Shehryar Qureshi, Brigadier Adil Iftikhar, Brigadier Amjad Aziz, and Brigadier Zulfikar Shaheen.
