Ghalanai : Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (FCKP North) in collaboration with the District administration has organized the Pakistan Sports Festival or PSF (Feb 26-April 25, 2024) in Mohmand Tribal District.
It goes to the credit of the FCKP North for inculcating positive and healthy habits among the youth. The FCKP has been organizing the sports festival in Mohmand since 2020.
The festival is being held in all the 8 Tehsils of the District in two different phases with an aim to promote sports culture, improve upon the community’s health and enhance social cohesion among the youths in the newly merged district.
Senior officers of the district administration along with a large number of local population attended the inaugural ceremony of the PSF and prayed for the successful completion of the event.
Besides the local population, young athletes and players from the entire district are participating in various sports categories—Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Marathon and Race for Handicapped, etc—during the festival to showcase their talent and to prove their resilience during the competitions scheduled during the two-month mega event.
These young participating youths will contribute to nation-building and service to the country.
According to one of the organizers, the sports are being held under the slogan of ‘Peace Across All Tribal Districts.’ This year, once again, the Pakistan Sports Festival is planned with same enthusiasm and being conducted in two phases: the Phase-I will be held at the Tehsil level from Feb 26to Mar 8, 2024. The Phase-II will be held at the district level from April 15 to April 25, 2024.
