DHAI-Rawalpindi organized Inter Club Ramadan Basketball Tournament in collaboration with Federal Basketball Association from 20th to 25th March 2024 at Sector E Basketball Court. Top 12 teams divided into 4 groups participated in the tournament. The top 2 teams from each group qualify for the quarterfinals.
After the quarter-finals, Wah Reapers, Raptors, United Kings & Dynamites qualified for the semi-finals. United Kings defeated Dynamites in a thrilling match by 4 points while Raptors defeated Wah Reapers by 12 points. Final match between United Kings and Raptors. It was a nail-biting match from start to finish. Raptors defeated United Kings by 2 points, lifted the first ever trophy and collected Rs. 50,000 cash reward. United Kings collected a prize money of Rs 30,000. The final score was 89-87 in favor of the Raptors. Many distinguished guests were present to watch the beautiful basketball match including DHA Director of Sports Brig Salim Nawaz, Deputy Dr. Sports, Malik Muhammad Riaz, Col. Shujaat Ali Rana, Major Saleem, Dr. Ouj Zahoor, Azam Dar along with the organizers Dr. Rohail, Usman. Awan, Owais Butt and a sizeable audience. Mr. Imtiaz Rafi Butt, Senior Vice President, Pakistan Basketball Federation was the chief guest on the occasion. He distributed shields/trophies and mementos among the distinguished guests and teams in a magnificent award ceremony. It was a well organized tournament by the entire DHA Phase 2 team.
