Nine of the deceased, belonging to Punjab, were stopped, pulled out of the bus and abducted by unknown militants while traveling in the bus on the national highway from Quetta to Taftan.
Police launched a search for the abductor, but his body was found under a bridge near a hill. They were all shot dead.
Those killed include Mandi Bahauddin, Wazirabad and Gujranwala areas in Punjab. According to Nushki Superintendent of Police (SP) Allah Bush, the death was a laborer.
Nushki Teaching Hospital MS Dr. Zafar Mengal said that the victims were shot in different parts of their bodies.
Police said the six persons belonged to Mandi Bahauddin and hailed from the same village of Chak Fateh Shah. Family members said the man left for Iraq three days before Eid.
Two people died and three were injured in two incidents
In another incident, two people were shot dead and three others were injured, police said.
According to The News, Nushki Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Musakhel said more than a dozen militants blocked the Kushta-Nushki-Taftan National Highway N-40 at the Sultan Chadhai hill point, 1 km from Nushki.
DC Musakhel said after blocking the highway, the gunmen began to search the vehicle and opened fire on the stationary vehicle, killing one of the men, a member of the provincial assembly.
Prime Minister Shehbaz sought a report
Condemning the incident, Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif sought a report on the incident.
He also defended his death and said that the terrorists and those who helped them would be brought to justice.
Criminals must be brought to book
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned the killing of 11 people and said that the terrorists involved in the incident would not be forgiven.
CM Bugti said the terrorists involved in the attack would be pursued and said their aim was to disturb the peace of Balochistan.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the incident and said the current government is with the family of the deceased.
“Quaid-e-Azam has no place in Pakistan for such a tragic incident,” he said.
