LAHORE: In a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a decision was taken to assess energy projects in the province.
Under the project, a 1kW solar system will be provided to protected energy customers who use less than 100 units of electricity per month. The family will be provided with two solar panels, batteries, inverter and cables.
CM Maryam Nawaz said that the administration should ensure that quality products are provided to the people and overcome the expensive electricity crisis.
The Chief Minister of Punjab issued an order and urged the administration to start a pilot project in the province.
In her inauguration speech as Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz shared her vision for the next five years and promised a plan for consumers to use less than 300 units of electricity.
Highlighting the main objectives of PML-N during his tenure, the Punjab CM said that it is important to provide employment opportunities, promote education and improve healthcare services.
“I am working on a plan to gradually provide solar panels to customers who use 300 or less electricity.”
CM Punjab Solar Panel Scheme is a government initiative that aims to provide free solar panels to households in Punjab. Under this program, qualifying households will receive a solar panel system complete with solar panels, inverters and batteries that can generate one kilowatt of electricity.
The government will let you know how eligible families can register and submit their information. It is important to keep your electricity costs low, especially in April and May, when the lowest priced homes – less than 100 units – will be selected to receive solar panels.
Each home can be supplied with solar panels, inverters and batteries for up to six days.
