Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi denied any differences with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and said that those looking for so-called differences between the Prime Ministers will be disappointed.
He said a decision would be taken soon to take action against illegal Afghans.
He announced that Necta would be fully operational. Naqvi claimed that people got their passports after a delay of five months.
“I am aware of the passport issue and will correct this part soon. I believe in the sanctity of the household,” he said.
Responding to opposition parties’ allegations of abuse of power by Naqeen when he was caretaker prime minister, the home minister said, “As prime minister and home minister, he never ordered the detention of women in police houses.”
Sharing an update on Chinese security, he said that urgent measures have been taken to address Chinese security in Pakistan.
Forensic Laboratory in Islamabad
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said work has begun to establish a forensic laboratory and a jail in the federal capital.
Speaking to media persons during a media visit in Islamabad today, he said that he wants to reduce the crime rate in the capital.
He said the capital’s police station would be transformed in three to four months. He said, criteria will be defined for registering FIRs. He said that the safe city project will be further improved.
The Interior Minister said that a proposal was sent to the federal government to hire two thousand police officers in Islamabad. This force is necessary to improve the security of Chinese citizens, he said.
Mohsin Naqvi said the Community Facilitation Center will be open 24 hours a day. He said, this facilitation center offers twenty eight services related to tax and transportation.
Earlier, the interior minister said that an effective strategy is being devised for the security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan while talking to media persons at Majlis Islamabad.
He said additional measures are being taken regarding military operations for the safety of Chinese citizens.
The interior minister said he would decide to take action against illegal Afghan nationals.
Cardholders told Afghans they had been granted a three-month extension.
