DERA ISMAIL KHAN: At least two terrorists were killed in a reconnaissance operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
During the operation there was heavy fire and as a result terrorists Faheem Nawaz alias Gandapuri and Mohsin Nawaz were killed by the security forces.
“Arms, ammunition and explosives have been recovered from terrorists who were actively involved in many acts of terrorism against security forces and were involved in killing and looting of innocent civilians,” ISPR said.
“A clean-up operation is underway to eliminate other terrorists present in the area as the Pakistan Security Forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism from the country,” he said.
In another operation on Saturday, security forces successfully killed one terrorist and injured another in Harnai district of Balochistan.
According to ISPR, the terrorists tried to stop a passenger vehicle on Jalan Sanjavi in Harnai. Security forces responded quickly and decisively and engaged the terrorists, killing one terrorist and injuring another in the exchange of fire.
