ISLAMABAD – President of Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry Atif Ikram Sheikh has strongly condemned the May 9 incident and said that the business community is in solidarity with the Pakistan Army. We honor the service of Pakistani troops and the spirit of martyrdom for Pakistan. The efforts of the Special Facilitation Council (SIFC) to attract investment in the country are commendable, he said in a speech at a business group meeting.
President Atif Ikram said on May 9 last year that Jinnah House, sensitive buildings, government and private properties were destroyed and surrounded by fire, and the country’s image was tarnished internationally. The economy is affected by events like May 9, so planning should be done to prevent this from happening again in the future.

Therefore, the Pakistan Army is working with the government to improve the economic situation. To prevent this incident in the future, all stakeholders must unite on sensitive issues of national interest.
