LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (Pakistan) dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s bail in the Jinnah House attack case as premature.
This decision was taken by ATC judge Arshad Javed in today’s hearing.
Counsel Parvez Elahi suggested that his client’s arrest was related to the possible Jinnah House attack. The former prime minister is said to have been arrested in several cases earlier.
The petitioner asked the court to grant bail to Parvez Elahi in the Jinnah House attack case.
However, prosecutors said the bail did not meet legal requirements and said Parvez Elahi had not been arrested in connection with the case.
Considering these arguments, the court rejected Parvez Elahi’s bail appeal and said it was too early for him to be arrested in the Jinnah House attack.
