LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is looking to revamp its medical and sports departments following the resignation of former Pakistan Cricket Board medical officer Dr Sohail Saleem.
They will advertise for the Head of Department. Meanwhile, a committee will be formed to select a new medical chief.
Saleem resigned after the PCB medical committee found lapses in the treatment of Pakistan fast bowler Ihsanullah’s injury. This is the second time Dr Sohail has been dismissed from his post. The Ehsan Mani-led PCB resigned in 2021 due to dissatisfaction with the arrangements made in PSL 6, which was held in Karachi and saw several positive cases of Covid-19.
