Islamabad: Former Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani has called for a major internal dialogue between institutions to agree on non-interference.
Noting that the public exhibition of inter-institutional conflicts reflects a political system that is already fragile, Rabbani said, “The way forward is institutional dialogue, so that each institution respects the trinity and agrees not to interfere in each other’s territory. It is the power of government provided in the constitution .
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stated in a press release that Pakistan is facing several crises, one of which is the conflict between the ruling elite. According to him, the conflict of the ruling elite arises from within and has historical roots.
He said that the creation of Pakistan has historically supported the judicial system.
“The highly polarized political atmosphere has affected the balance between the ruling elite. “This conflict within the elite strengthens the function of state institutions.”
Rabbani said that in a democratic federal parliamentary system, parliament is the last resort for internal disputes. Therefore, said the parliament, the elite should refrain from getting involved in internal disputes. “The entire committee of the Senate of Pakistan should play its role in rectifying the situation,” he said.
The politician said the Constitution was considered a “candle nose” after investigating the lack of implementation of the Constitution in the right spirit. “It is designed to legalize the unconstitutional intrusion of an institution into the work of another.”
The PPP leader said that all this has created a situation where “the rule of law has disappeared and seems to be governed by law”.
He said it undermined the country’s constitutional foundation and created structural and political instability.
