Islamabad: The number of people praying for children and seeking alms has increased, especially in malls and cattle markets.
In the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad ahead of Eid.
The people of the two cities are demanding strict action against those who beg and ask for donations.
Mohammad Ashfaq, a citizen, said that charity seekers are sometimes a constant nuisance in shopping malls and traffic signals when people go to the market for holiday shopping and no one takes action against professional prayers.
Similarly, another resident Muhammad Imran said begging professional children has become a serious problem in the community as minors are involved in begging and begging residents. He said when
people try to ignore them, they curse or insult people and run away.
When contacted, the ICT spokesperson said that the ICT administration has been conducting regular raids against child beggars.
The assistant commissioner has launched an operation to curb professional beggars in the Federal Capital in a new move.
During the operation, 27 beggars were arrested and identified as professional beggars. All were immediately taken into police custody and the minor was shifted to Edhi Center for proper treatment.
The event shows the authorities’ commitment to maintaining order and solving social problems in the capital.
