Punjab chief minister launches Traffic Response Unit in Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday inaugurated an anti-traffic unit in Lahore.
Taking this opportunity, the Chief Minister reviewed the wheels of the Traffic Response Unit. He talked to the wards and asked about education and other things.
Also, in case of congestion, the message is sent by public address. A special meeting on traffic management was held under the leadership of CM Maryam Nawaz after the Traffic Response Unit was inaugurated.
The Prime Minister has set a deadline to improve traffic flow in Lahore. Maryam Nawaz ordered to give alternative space for wheelbarrows for smooth traffic.
It has also launched an awareness campaign to enforce lane order at all times and keep rickshaws and motorcycles on the right lane.
During the meeting, implementation of intelligent traffic signal management system in Lahore was reviewed. He directed the authorities concerned to come up with an effective and systematic plan to deal with the problem of road accidents.
CM Maryam also ordered the restoration of screens installed for traffic. Briefing the meeting, CTO Ammara Azhar said that the special traffic response unit will reach the congested area on the 15th call.
A special force consisting of 50 heavy bikes and 100 wards will take immediate action to clear the mess. For this purpose, the Traffic Response Unit was given special training for a month.
Additionally, BSG Traffol stated that first aid was provided by Gyzyl Asaramai to the Traffol Movement Response Unit. Each motorcycle will also have a public address system and a first aid kit installed. Traffic controllers will also record with special cameras.
