MARDAN: At least two people were killed and five others, including a policeman, a woman and a child, were injured in an explosion near Jalala bridge in Takht Bhai tehsil Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). Mother’s day.
Mardan District Police Officer Zahoor Babar Afridi said the explosion occurred immediately after a police vehicle crossed the bridge and the police tried to target them.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, ambulances and medical teams immediately rushed to the accident and took the dead and injured to local hospitals.
The victim was taken to THQ Takht Bhai and MMC for further treatment and identification.
From there, the police began to collect evidence and begin an investigation into the incident.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Khar, where MS Dr. Naseeb Gul confirmed their identity as Hidayatullah Khan, Malik Irfan, Nazar Din, Muhammadar Muhammad and Samiullah.
