ISLAMABAD: In a landmark development, as many as 80 schools in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) are to be converted into state-of-the-art smart schools.
The initiative aims to revolutionize education in GB and ADK by the Federal Government in partnership with UNESCO.
According to details, around 40 schools in UK and 40 schools in AJK will be converted into smart schools.
Upgrade including school furniture for equipment and the latest technological equipment and comprehensive training for staff to ensure optimal use of resources.
Official sources in the Ministry of Education said that the initiative also aims to bridge the digital divide and provide equal access to quality education for students in UK and AJK.
