DUBAI: Afghanistan cricket team members Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Mohammad Nabi have confirmed their willingness to play in Pakistan and strongly denied baseless rumors that the Afghan team is boycotting the event.
With the Champions Trophy 2025 being held in Pakistan, there has been much speculation about the possibility of the Afghan team boycotting the tournament. However, the players dismissed these rumors and confirmed the team’s availability.
Both the players, who are currently competing in the Global T20 in Canada, have emphasized their desire to feature in matches hosted by Pakistan.
Mohammad Nabi urged fans to ignore fake news doing the rounds on social media, saying there was no substance to such rumours.
They also highlighted his positive experience in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and his enthusiasm to play in Pakistan again.
