Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has completed its 50-year educational journey (from 1974 to 2024).
According to AIOU, Vice Chancellor of AIOU, Prof. dr. Nasir Mahmud decided to celebrate the Golden Jubilee by holding 24 events throughout the year (January-December 2024).
In this regard, seminars, conferences, alumni functions, educational exhibitions and convocation departments of Islamabad, Punjab and KPK are organized by various departments. Merger of Balochistan and Sindh divisions is in the pipeline.
A two-day international conference on modern trends in chemistry was held on February 14 and 15, a two-day international conference on educational research and practice, and a three-day international conference on Ijtihad Bil Maqasid was held on February 28 and 29. . May 22-24, 2024.
The 37th Annual International Conference of the Association of Asian Open Universities (AAOU) will be held from October 15 to 17, with more than 100 vice-chancellors, chancellors, professors and nearly 250 national-level education experts and researchers from Asian universities. the country will submit the document.
The 2nd International Conference on Cultural Dialogue will be held on 2 and 3 July 2024.
Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Nasir Mahmood said that so far more than 50 students have graduated from AIOU and there is no home in Pakistan without Open University students.
In the golden jubilee of AIOU, Dr. Nasir Mahmood announced that we will play an active role in bringing out-of-school children into the education system.
