MIRPUR-AJK: The people and government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) are getting ready to celebrate Kashmir Solidarity Day on Tuesday with renewed vigor as February 5 draws near.
“Kashmir Solidarity Day is a pivotal occasion for the Kashmiri people on both sides of the Line of Control and the rest of the world,” said Kashmiri rights activist Sardar Amjad Yousaf in an interview with APP. It acts as a reminder of the unflinching support given to their liberation fight and the unbreakable tie that exists between the people and government of Pakistan and their Kashmiri compatriots.”
In order to show support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) in their righteous and moral fight for independence from India’s unlawful occupation, this day is marked throughout Pakistan and AJK.
The people of IIOJK remain resolute in their quest for self-determination in spite of the terrible circumstances they find themselves in following the Indian government’s August 5, 2019, abrogation of Article 370 and 35-An. On this momentous day, AJK unites once more in its support of the internationally acknowledged right to freedom of the Kashmiri people.
Additionally, he underlined how crucial it is to resolve the conflict between India and Pakistan over Kashmir, saying that it continues to be a major problem and flashpoint in the area. Since it started in 1989, the ongoing indigenous rebellion against Indian occupation has received support and respect from all around the world.
Since its founding in 1975, Pakistan and the Indian-held Kashmir have commemorated Kashmir Solidarity Day as a public holiday, reiterating their commitment to ending India’s forcible and unlawful possession of the region.
