ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, today, assumed the charge of Ministry of Communications. On arrival at Ministry, Federal Secretary for Communications Mr. Ali Sher Mehsood received Federal Minister for Communications. Later, an introductory briefing was given to Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan by Mr. Ali Sher Mehsood covering activities of Ministry and its attached departments. Besides, Chairman National Highway Authority Mr. Arshad Majeed Mohmand, the heads of various departments of Ministry of Communications participated in the briefing session. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan laid down three major principles to be adopted strictly during realization of public development schemes. The set basic principles include, enhancing revenue potentials, quality construction and maintaining transparency. He said, ” I have joined politics with sole objective of public service and that national development shall ever remain our prime priority”. The Federal Minister committed to undertake public welfare schemes at large furthering that all the available resources will be utilized to ensure their timely and ALEEM KHAN CONDOLED ENGINEERS’ INCIDENT
Aleem visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad. He called on Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and expressed his deep sorrow over the recent accident of Chinese engineers. Abdul Aleem Khan while talking to the Chinese Ambassador said that Pakistan-China friendship is a symbol of economic stability and peace in the region. He added that there no one can harm the deep friendship between China and Pakistan and bilateral relations. Abdul Aleem Khan said that every Pakistani is saddened and heartbroken over the death of Chinese engineers. Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the families of the Chinese engineers who were victims of the accident. While writing in the book in Chinese Embassy, Abdul Aleem Khan gave positive comments for Chinese families who lost their beloved ones. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong expressed his gratitude for Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan’s visit to the Embassy and thanked him for his sentiments.
