Islamabad: Altaf Ahmed Bhat, a distinguished social, political, and Kashmiri leader, has graciously donated another water filtration unit in CBR Town Phase I to ensure that residents of the CBR Employees Cooperative Housing Society have access to clean drinking water.
The water filtration plant was inaugurated to provide clean water to the executive block of CR Town Phase I.
The plant was opened by the society’s president, Altaf Ahmed Bhat, in front of a large number of local dignitaries, including executive block inhabitants and other members. Notable people include Vice President Faheem Anwar Barni, Secretary Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed, Treasurer Umar Farooq, Executive Members Nakir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Saeed Baig, Syed Shakeel Ahmad Shah, Malik Naeem Akhtar, and the Society’s General Manager Ghulam Shabbir.
Altaf Ahmad Bhat addressed the crowd, saying, “Today, we are inaugurating the 5th Water Filtration Plant in CBR Town Phase, facilitated by our family, and we will install it with your assistance.”
He further added that the plant is likely to be operational within a month, adding, “Inshallah, the construction work of Jana Begum Jamia Masjid has already commenced here in the executive block of CBR Town Phase I.”
Regarding infrastructure developments, Altaf Ahmed Bhat stated, “The electricity approval has been granted, and in a few days, IESCO will provide electricity meters to the aspiring members of the Executive Block.” The essential development work has begun, with the construction of the main entrance and a bridge for traffic on both sides of the society’s river scheduled to begin soon. This executive block of society is located in a magnificent setting.”
Bhat emphasized the success and acceptance of CBR Housing Society by CDA and other independent agencies, stating, “All responsible persons in our management are working diligently to provide all possible facilities to the residents.”
In conclusion, the society’s president, Altaf Ahmed Bhat, expressed delight in the members and residents for their efforts in hosting the annual gathering. However, due to the Islamabad High Court’s suspension of provincial powers, the Registrar Cooperative Department was unable to send a delegate, hence the Annual General Meeting was postponed until a later date.
Bhat guaranteed that the new date for the Annual General Meeting will be announced shortly. He also invited concerned members to attend and stressed the potential benefits of the combination of non-developed blocks of CBR Town Phase II with Faisal Town, a prominent housing sector in the country, calling it as a game changer and a profitable move for CBR members.
