: Keith Swensen, CEO of APM Terminal, together with the Danish Ambassador to Pakistan, Obakob Linulf, met Federal Minister of Trade Jam Kamal Khan to discuss the future of APM Terminal in Pakistan.
Hour Minister Kamal Khan highlighted Pakistan’s interest in land trade and logistics, especially in shipping as an area of investment.
The minister explained Pakistan’s multi-modal connectivity, including land-to-sea and sea-to-land routes, and its proximity to major regional ports and economies.
He encouraged Maersk and other Danish organizations to invest in Pakistan’s logistics and shipping sector and highlighted the potential of cross-border transit trade with Central Asian countries.
After meeting with Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif, Swensen thanked Jam Minister Kamal Khan for his strong support to A.P. Molter Maers Pakistan.
He said that he met Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today and expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of the Government of Pakistan to A.P. Molter – Maersk.
We discussed the growth of Pakistan’s economy, increasing domestic and foreign trade, challenges facing the logistics sector and opportunities to explore the growth potential of our country, he said.

The discussion focused on Pakistan’s economic growth, increasing trade volume, logistical challenges and development paths.
Both parties agreed to exchange proposals and frameworks to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, marking a promising step for potential cooperation between APM Terminals and Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce.
