Differences between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) deepened as senior leader Asad Qaiser and Senator Shibli Faraz Sher Afzal Marwat exchanged heated words over the removal of the party’s political committee, sources told Geo News on Tuesday. .
According to sources, Qaiser told a PTI political committee meeting that it was “injustice” that Marwat was expelled from the party’s political committee.
Faraz asked the Kaiser who would speak on party politics. I have been with the PTI founder since 1995,” said the latter.
“Who are you talking to me like this? The way the political committee used against Sher Afzal Marwat is unfair,” said Qaiser, who demanded an apology from the political committee members.
Sources also revealed that Faraz apologized for his conversation and behavior. He also said that Kaiser had left the church because of Faraz’s behavior.
On May 9, PTI General Secretary Omar Ayub Khan said that Marwat had been removed from the party’s core and political committee on the orders of party founder Imran Khan.
The development came after Marwat openly blasted PTI’s top leadership, refusing to work under them.
Marwat was then issued a show cause notice for violating the code of ethics and party policy. The notice said that Marwat had made “irresponsible statements” that harmed the party’s reputation and interests despite clear instructions from Khan.
In addition, the said politician has damaged his relationship with other party members and stakeholders through actions and words.
A day earlier, Khan told the media that he had repeatedly explained to Marwat that he would not violate the party’s policy, but he attacked several party leaders on a daily basis.
The PTI founder said that Marwat has done a lot for the party but he should not have violated the party policy many times and said there would be no problem if he followed the party policy.
