LAHORE: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar was taken to hospital on Tuesday after his condition deteriorated at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore.
Umar’s lawyer said his client felt chest pain in the courtroom and was taken to hospital.
Doctors immediately took blood samples and performed an EKG. His initial EKG report is normal while doctors said his blood pressure has dropped. Doctors are continuing to examine his condition and keep him under observation for a while.
The hospital management informed Geo News that his health condition was out of danger after the administration of medicines. It said his condition worsened while he was taking blood pressure medication while fasting.
A video of the former federal minister has emerged showing people lifting him on their hands to get into a vehicle.
He suffered back pain in Karachi on June 9, after which he was taken to hospital for treatment.
