LAHORE: Pakistan Ulema Council (p.c) Chairman Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, addressing an interfaith gathering at Presbyterian Church right here on Sunday, said Islam is a faith of peace and love.
He regretted that Christian, Muslims and Jews were becoming victim of terrorism and kids were being martyred in Palestine. He stated Christian doctors and nurses had been supplying treatment services at Al-Shifa health center in Gaza. He said, “We pay tribute to all those who have been standing with Palestinians on this hard time.” He said that leaders of all religions had been emphasising peace inside the international. He stated Imam-e-Ka’aba, Pope Francis and Sheikh-ul Azhar and all different leaders were stressing peace in Gaza.
Ashrafi stated, “these days we’re sitting in church and from here Muslims and Christian leaders are making an attraction for peace and to end ongoing bloodshed in Gaza.” He stated that out of 11,000 people martyred in Gaza up to now, 3500 were children. He said “we absolutely support the choices made on the Islamic Cooperation corporation and Arab League assembly in Saudia Arabia”.
He stated, “The constitution of Pakistan gives same rights to Muslims and minorities residing in Pakistan.” variations have to be settled through dialogue as it become the handiest manner to move ahead, he brought.
