Pakistan captain Babar Azam was delighted with his teammates’ performance after they won their third T20I and clinched the series in Dublin.
The 29-year-old brought his bowlers to life as Ireland’s batsmen struck in the first ten overs of the series decider.
They played the first (half) but Amir Abbas Shaheen and Hasan Ali played well. It was 110 at the end of 11 overs but we took a few wickets and put pressure on them.
Babar was brilliant with the pair, scoring 75 off 42. He paired with Mohammad Rizwan to score a partnership of 139 runs.
Babar also highlighted the upcoming series in England which will be a big preparation for the T20 World Cup.
There are many positives for us and we can execute our plan. Yes, we made some mistakes, we will sit down and discuss it,” he added.
After their tour of England, Pakistan travel to the United States for the upcoming T20 World Cup and will be drawn in Group A with arch-rivals India, Canada, USA and Ireland.
