Muzaffarabad: On Indian Republic Day, the people of Jammu & Kashmir observed Black Day.
Details indicate that while protest processions took place around the state, the major event was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, and a sizable number of people took part, brandishing black flags, placards, and banners.
In addition to drawing attention to the suffering of the Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), participants sang anti-Indian government slogans.
Additionally, they set fire to the sculptures of Ajit Doval, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and Narendra Modi.
Speakers at the event claimed that, although posing as a false democracy, India is engaged in state terrorism in IIOJ&K.
They claimed that under India’s alleged democracy, Kashmiri Muslims’ political, religious, social, and human rights have been seized.
“India is a black spot in the name of democracy, who is trying to occupy the state of Jammu and Kashmir illegally by force” , they claimed.
They believed that the worst laws, like as PSA, OFFSPA, UAPA, and POTA, had been implemented in IIOJ&K, resulting in the imprisonment and torture of Kashmiri citizens.
Speakers claimed that Muslims in India are victims of savage crimes because the Indian government is driven by the Hindutva ideology.
“Bharatiya Janata Party, Vishva Hindu Parishad, RSS, Bajrang Dal, dozens of Hindu terrorist organizations are attacking Muslims with the support of the Delhi government” , they complained.
Along with Indian Muslims, protestors urged that the UN and human rights organizations pay attention to Indian state terrorism in IIOJ&K.
Additionally, they called for the Supreme Court of India’s rulings from August 5, 2019, and December 11, 2023, to be reversed.
The leaders of the Rally were: Raja Sajid Khan, Ishaq Shaheen, Chaudhary Shehbaz Ahmed, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Imtiaz Aziz, Shoaib Ahmed Shah, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Usman Ali Hashim, Iqbal Yaseen Awan, Muhammad Farooq Sheikh, and others.
