BEIJING: A collection of excerpts from discourses on China’s financial sector by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has been published by Central Party Literature Press.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has strengthened the overall leadership and planning of financial work from a strategic perspective, achieving new significant achievements in the development of the country’s financial sector.
Xi gave a series of high-profile discourses on major theoretical and practical issues related to the development of the sector. These discourses pushed the understanding of the fundamentals side and the development trajectory of financial work to a new level.
Xi’s discourses are key to promoting a financial sector with Chinese characteristics in the new era, promoting high-quality financial development, and accelerating the growth of a strong financial sector.
Compiled by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee, the book collects 324 relevant passages in 10 categories, culled from more than 120 important spoken and written works by Xi produced from November 2012 to February 2024. Some have been published for the first time in this compilation.
