LAHORE: Ace Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi called wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwa the “Bradman of T20 cricket” after he reached 3,000 in the second T20I of the series against New Zealand.
The 31-year-old became the fastest Indian player to reach 3000 runs in T20Is, overtaking Virat Kohli and teammate Babar Azam.
He was instrumental in 79 innings and another top scorer in 81 innings.
Shaheen congratulated Rizwa for setting a record and being an inspiration to many.
Shaheen X (formerly of Twitter) tweeted: “Cheers to Muhammad Rizwan – Bradman of T20 cricket and Pakistan’s SuperMan for scoring 3,000 T20I runs”.
Stay strong, Champ! You are an inspiration to many,” he said.
Meanwhile, Shaheen throws a celebratory party in Rizwa’s honor, for which he is grateful.
“Many thanks to Shaheen Shah Afridi for creating a wonderful celebration for me and bringing together the stars of the Pakistan team,” Rizwan said.
