LAHORE: A hidden camera was found in the bathroom of a women’s hostel in Lahore Johar on Sunday.
The investigation revealed that the hostel management installed cameras in the bathrooms of the students, violating their privacy.
The camera was said to have been installed to record indecent videos of students. The sad discovery came when the student’s uncle complained about the matter.
A case has been registered against seven people, including hostel owner Mian Salim and his wife Fauzia, at the Johar police station, demanding a quick response from the authorities.
Those named in the lawsuit include Saghir, Tawar Shahzad, Muhammad Zubair, Irfan and Ali Hasan. More than 40 female students from different cities of Punjab were accommodated in the hostel.
During the court hearing and the police raid, all the accused ran away. The police cleared the hostel and started a thorough investigation.
The footage to confirm that the affected student had a hidden camera in the bathroom further proves the gravity of the situation.
