Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, visited Margalla Trail Five to boost the Margalla Hills Plantation Campaign. Accompanied by DG Environment, Foresters, and CDA staff, he announced a new initiative to engage the diplomatic community in the campaign.
On the instructions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa invited diplomats to join the plantation campaign, encouraging them to plant trees and share their experiences on social media using #selfiewithatree. This move aims to create awareness and promote environmental diplomacy.
The Chairman met with Ethiopian Ambassador H.E Jamal Beker while on his way to the Trail 5, who expressed his country’s support for the campaign. CDA will allocate spaces for different countries to plant trees. The visitors to Margalla Trails will receive plants and seedballs to participate in the campaign.
Chairman CDA emphasized the need to increase the efficiency of the Environment Wing’s Nursery and encouraged students, youths, and trail visitors to join the campaign, making it a collective effort to beautify and preserve Margalla Hills.
