ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has closed 60 buildings in the federal capital amid abuse of power.
In a crackdown on illegal construction, the Building Management Wing, along with the Enforcement Directorate, sealed 38 buildings in G-9/4 for non-compliance.
22 buildings under construction in Gulberg Residencia continue without the necessary permits.
The authorities issued a warning to the owners of sealed properties. Prior to this move, the owner was directed to obtain the necessary clearances from the CDA before starting construction.
This property is sealed because the owner did not follow these instructions. CDA Muhammed Ali Randhawa reiterated the authority’s commitment to enforcing building regulations in Islamabad and said action against violations would be sustained.
