Islamabad: Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Chairman, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, highlighted the key role of BISP staff in the success of the programme. Addressing BISP staff at Masjid Ibrahim, Kanal Colony Zonal Office Irrigation in Bahawalpur, Dr. Amjad Saqib emphasized that BISP’s success in disbursing 471 billion rupees to deserving sisters, daughters and mothers across the country is due to the dedication and hard work of the staff.
Dr. Stressing the importance of transparency, Muhammad Amjad Saqib directed the staff to ensure that the aid amounts are disbursed with utmost honesty and integrity, and particularly stressed the need for transparency in payments to innocent women. He stressed the importance of providing necessary facilities to needy women during surveys and disbursements to ensure their comfort and dignity throughout the process.
Dr. Moreover, Muhammad Amjad Saqib urged the employees to join hands with the bank officials to ensure transparent and efficient provision of funds to deserving women. He stressed the importance of cleanliness and respectful treatment and encouraged staff to uphold the values of compassion and empathy in serving the disadvantaged.
Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib reminded the staff that service to humanity is an act of worship. He called on them to recognize the rights of needy women and take practical steps to empower poor families to contribute to the broader goal of poverty alleviation.
Later Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib also visited the payment camp at Bahawalpur where he personally observed the ongoing payment process for BISP beneficiaries. During his visit, he interacted with the needy women, listened to their problems and instructed the officials to solve the problems faced by the women immediately.
