Beijing: 20 individuals and five groups of young women scientists were awarded prizes in Beijing on Sunday.
Shen Yiqin, China State Councilor and President of the All China Women’s Federation, attended the award ceremony.
Shen urged female scientists to remain committed to science and scale new heights in scientific research.
He also called on talented young people to play an important role in China’s efforts to achieve greater independence and strength in science and technology, develop new productive forces, and promote quality development.
Established in 2004, the award has been given to 204 outstanding women in science.
