Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti Chaman has ordered an industrial zone and a multi-purpose shopping complex to be built under Chaman’s master plan.
Presiding over the meeting here on Friday, he said more steps should be taken to launch the Chaman industrial zone and shopping complex to boost economic activity in the area and provide employment opportunities to the people of the border town.
The meeting was attended by Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Saleem Ahmed Khosa, Haji Ali Madad Jattak, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Communications and Works, Secretary Industry, Commissioner Quetta Office and other officials.
Sarfraz Bugti said, to speed up economic activities in Chaman, basic facilities like electricity should be provided as soon as possible in the industrial area.
Chaman said that expressions of interest should be sought to provide land located in industrial zones and said that all facilities are available to attract investors.
“Provincial assets and other resources should be used for the development and welfare of the people in proper planning.”
The Prime Minister said that amendments will be made to existing laws for the operation of public private partnership projects. He said that practical steps should be taken to activate the Special Economic Zone in Balochistan. Sarfraz Bugti provides all possible assistance to the industrialists to promote business in the province creating great job opportunities for the youth in various sectors,” said Sarfraz Bugti.
