Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Wednesday visited the center “Zamong Kor” established for state children in Peshawar and reviewed the accommodation, food and education and training facilities provided to the children in the center.
The Chief Minister inspected the various sections of Zamong Kor and also met the students under study. Adviser to Chief Minister for Social Welfare Mashal Yousafzai, Secretary Social Welfare Syed Nazar Hussain Shah and other relevant officials were also present on this occasion. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly established vocational training in Zamong Kor, the training center will provide technical training to children in various fields. The Chief Minister also inspected the stalls of paintings and other products made by children living in Zamong Kor. The Chief Minister while addressing the students and their teachers in Zamong Kor Center has announced to regularize all contract employees of Zamong Kor Center and bear the higher education expenses of the children studying in Zamong Kor on the basis of merit by the provincial government. It has been said that the provincial government will bear all the educational expenses of the children who are studying in Zamong Kor who can get admission in any higher education institution. He further said that all the funds required by Zamong Corps will be released simultaneously at the beginning of the year so that Zamong Corps does not face any financial difficulties. The Chief Minister declared the welfare of the children living in Zamong Kor as the top priority of his government and said that the children living in Zamong Kor are our children, there will be no compromise on their quality education and training. The provincial government will provide education and training to these children according to the top class schools of the country and the current provincial government will provide all support to make them successful people. It will be brought on par with private educational institutions. He urged the teachers and other staff to treat the children living in Zamong Kor as their own children.
