LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Monday said that the Punjab government will set up the first state cancer hospital in Lahore in Valencia. The Chief Minister visited the proposed site of the cancer hospital near the city of Valencia where she was briefed on various aspects of the project.
Maryam issued instructions to invite the best doctors from around the world to the proposed cancer hospital. She also issued instructions to build a canteen for cancer patients. She said patients would be treated free of cost at the first government cancer hospital in Punjab. She said highly qualified doctors and state-of-the-art machinery will be available at the health facility.
Former Senator Pervez Rashid, MPA Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Sania Ashiq and Dr Adnan accompanied Maryam Nawaz. Punjab Chief Secretary and other bureaucrats were also present.
