LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Thursday chaired the Aab-e-Pak Governorate meeting and decided to hand over the management of all refineries to a single authority.
The CM directed the concerned agencies to set up new filtration plants on priority in brackish water areas. He said all resources should be used to provide clean water to the residents.
CM strives for a comprehensive plan to provide clean drinking water in every area.
Earlier in the meeting, a report on the status of 5027 water filtration plants in Punjab was presented.
The meeting was attended by Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, Senior Provincial Minister Marryum Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister of Local Government Zeshan Rafiq and Special Assistant Zeshan Malik.
Chief Secretary, Secretary, Chief Executive Officer of Aab-e-Pak Office and relevant officials were also present.
