Ever since the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took oath of office, he has been talking about the rights of the province and demanding his right over the resources of the province.
He is also talking about using the resources of the province themselves and benefiting from it, which is welcome thing but he will have to work with patience and perseverance to fulfill his ambitions.
Yesterday in his first cabinet meeting he also shown that he wants to do something for his province. He said that the government has not only restore the health card in Ramadan but will also give 10,000 cash to 0.8 million families in Ramadan then will include more families.
He said that we will restore the good measures of the previous government. He is doing things like opening shelter homes in the province and restoring the health card.
Apart from that, he has talked about giving loans to the youth for employment, which is commendable. He has repeated once again that 10 billion rupees of the province are outstanding towards the center and we should get it, therefore we once again humbly ask for our right, otherwise we will take the path of law.
He has decided to pay attention to improving the administration of the province and said that he will not tolerate bribery in the province. He said to solve the problems of the people on the basis of performance we do not want a monarchy system in the province, the Privileges of caretaker ministers have been abolished, simplicity will be adopted and more cuts will be made on privileges.
On this occasion he has reiterated his political differences with the Federation and said that he will have political differences with the Prime Minister because his party’s mandate was stolen but this does not mean that he will not have relations with the Centre.
He will also maintain a working relationship with the Center as long as he remains in government. Meanwhile he has also rejected the allegation of inheritance on his cabinet. The Chief Minister has said that we have given ministries on the basis of services. Our ministers will deliver and we will prove it. He has said that it is a good thing if the center gives the right to the province even if it is afraid of my moustache.
The briefing of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur shows that he is very concerned about the province and wants to do something for this poor nation. The need of the hour is that he should have better relations with the federation and move forward.
Our province has often been neglected by the federation, one of the obstacles in which has been the mutual tussle between the political parties that is why the problems of the province have been put behind but now the situation has deteriorated to such an extent that the country can no longer afford the personal interests and self-gratification of anyone.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa needs to build relations with the Center considering the conditions of his poor province and for this he should also convince his founding chairman Imran Khan that if he wants to solve the problems of this poor province then he should have a relationship with the Center.
On the other hand in order to use the minerals and other resources in the province in the true sense, it is necessary to plan at the provincial level as well, which was briefly mentioned by the Chief Minister in his speech in the provincial assembly. It is hoped that the Chief Minister will do his homework with his cabinet and run the province in a dignified manner because he has a very strong government.
If he is able to use all his abilities, then surely he will be able to get this poor province and its people out of the clutches of problems.
Now it has to be seen how he manages his cabinet which does not have much experience, but he is sure that it will perform well. People hoped that this time the provincial government will also come up with projects like bus rapid transit and Swat Motorway.
