General Syed Asim Munir NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), met His Excellency Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The discussion primarily focused on issues of common interest, especially regional peace, stability and border security.
Both sides agreed on the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in joint efforts for regional stability and economic prosperity.
The COAS described the Pak-Iran border as a “border of peace and friendship”, stressing the need to improve coordination along the border so that terrorists do not threaten the long-standing brotherly relations between the two neighboring countries.
President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized that by promoting cooperation between the two armed forces, Pakistan and Iran can achieve peace and stability for the nations and the region.
