KAKUL: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir hosted an Iftar dinner for the Pakistan cricket team at the Army in Rawalpindi on Monday.
The event was attended by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi, as well as players who trained in a camp at the Military Academy of Physical Education (ASPT) in Kakul, Abbottabad earlier this month. Played T20I series against New Zealand.
In that meeting, General Syed Asim Munir welcomed the players.
The cricketers, on their part, thanked the COAS for the quality training they received in Kakul and said that the army has played an important role in supporting sports in Pakistan.
