MARDAN: Commissioner Mardan Division Shaukat Ali Yousafzai inaugurated the modern bus terminal at Chamtar Mardan in a grand ceremony.
Covering an area of 734 kanals this spacious bus terminal provides modern facilities to the transporters and passengers.On this occasion Additional Commissioner Naeem Akhtar Deputy Commissioner Mardan Mohammad Fayaz Khan Sherpao DPO Mardan Najibur Rehman Bagwi, Secretary Regional Transport Authority Wajid Khan, SE Communications and Construction Imran Khan, Executive Engineer Naqibullah Khattak, Additional Assistant Commissioner and Focal Apart from Person Junaid Khalid, Chamber of Commerce President Zahir Shah and Rescue 1122 officer Imran Khan, prominent transporters Khalil Khan, Imran Haji Akbar Ali, Haji Nasir and a large number of transporters, transport workers and local elders were also present.
On reaching the bus terminal, transporters, local people and elders gave a warm welcome to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. A team of Rescue 1122 saluted Commissioner Mardan.SE Communications and Construction Imran Khan while giving a briefing said that the new bus terminal has been completed at a cost of 23.8 million rupees, which includes parking area for 20 large vehicles, 20 ticketing officers, spacious waiting areas for women and men, male And female latrines, driver’s quarters, dining halls and two washing areas have been construct
Commissioner Mardan Division Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that in order to reduce the increasing traffic pressure on Mardan city and provide better services to the passengers, 734 kanal wide land in Chamtar has been allocated for the new bus terminal.A beautiful building was constructed by spending money. He said that all the necessary facilities will be provided to the transporters moving to the new bus terminal.
He said that the administration is the servant of the people, all necessary steps will be taken to maintain the betterment of the people and the state and government. He said that the transfer of transport bases from the city has been done in pure public interest and the administration and police have no interest in it.
Shaukat Ali Yousafzai directed Deputy Commissioner Mardan and TMA staff to solve the problems of transporters, mechanics and traders who are shifting in the new bus terminal on priority basis.
