LAHORE: Khawaja Saad Rafique, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), declared on Sunday that the nation was experiencing extreme economic distress.
Addressing the party members at NA-122 in Lahore, Rafique said: “Though the country has an old history of witnessing elections in the country. The next elections won’t be like the ones that came before them.
“The country would have defaulted if we had not brought the vote of no-confidence motion,” he said, recalling the vote of no-confidence against the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Rafique stated, “We knew that the people would blame us if we took the brunt of the PTI founder’s negligence.”
“The cost of roti could reach Rs. 500 if we did not present the motion of no-confidence.
