RAWALPINDI: An accountability court on Monday filed an affidavit from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s wife and former first lady Bushra Bibi for Rs 190 million.
This came after a two-judge bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) comprising Chief Justice Qazi Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri approved Khan’s bail in May.
Former Prime Minister Bushra, along with other PTI leaders, are facing a NAB investigation in connection with a deal between the PTI government and a real estate fund that reportedly cost the national wealth 190 million euros.
However, the couple remains behind bars for the iddat case and is unlikely to be released after the District and Assembly Court rejected their request to stay the sentence in the aforementioned case.
