Lahore: A cracker exploded in the garage of former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Saqib Nisar’s house.
According to rescue sources, the blast took place in Ahmed Block Garden Town, the residence of the former Chief Justice and 2 officials were injured as a result of the blast. On the other hand, according to the sources, the explosion took place in the garage and Saqib Nisar was at home at that time.
Apart from this, IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from CCPO Lahore. IG Punjab directed to provide the best medical facilities to the injured policemen in the blast.
After the incident, security has been tightened while traffic on the highway has also been restricted. According to the spokesman of the Punjab Police, the family of the former Chief Justice is completely safe, while the IG Punjab has ordered an investigation into all aspects of the incident.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, Police Constable Amir and Constable Khurram are slightly injured and senior police officers including CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamiana, DIG Operations Lahore, SSP Operations are present at the spot.
