PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan defended the party’s decision to make the winning candidates it supports as members of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC).
Speaking to reporters, he said, “There is no difference between SIC. The decision to join SIC was absolutely the right and better decision.”
The PTI MNA pointed out, “We were still striving for our party symbol and wanted to contest [elections] for our [election] symbol.”
Gohar reiterated that it was the “right” of the SIC-PTI coalition to get reserved seats in the assemblies.
