Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar will pay a two-day visit to Jordan on June 10-11 to attend a high-level conference titled “Call to Action: Emergency Humanitarian Response to Gaza”.
The meeting was jointly organized by King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release on Monday.
“The consultation aims to find and develop a collective response to the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. On the other hand, the Deputy Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with his partners in the participating countries.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan’s participation in the conference is a commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East and its strong and longstanding support for the Palestinian cause.
