Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has organized an event called ‘Members Night 2024’ for its members. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar was the chief guest of the event.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that he will share RCCI’s views and recommendations with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and will also speak to the Finance Minister to seek advice from the business community. He also recalled the meetings and consultations he had with his wards on business issues and policy decisions during his time as Finance Minister in the Nawaz Sharif government. Ishaq Dar said that the business community always accepts challenges and shows patience in difficult times. Pakistan has a bright future, now I have a single plan to put it on economic track through economic diplomacy.
He also said that current interest rates are not feasible for economic growth; now declining along with inflation. The government aims to keep interest rates and inflation in single digits. He assured the business community that the government is making all efforts to revive economic activities in Pakistan. He urged traders to focus on industrial and agricultural development to boost exports, which is the only way.
Speaker RCCI Sohail Altaf, Chairman RCCI Saqib Rafiq Group and Chairman of the event Usman Shaukat addressed a large gathering of members at the Jinnah Conference Center in Islamabad and highlighted the challenges faced by the business community, tax measures and new initiatives announced in the Budget 2024. . etc.
