TALASH: The salaries of all Class IV employees should be increased in proportion to inflation or a lump sum of 10,000 rupees should be increased. Reforms in the name of pension by the provincial and central governments are definitely unacceptable. President Obaid-ur- Rehman.
These views were expressed by Obaid-ur- Rehman, the district president of the employees, while addressing an important meeting of all grade IV organized at the level of Dir Lower district.
This meeting was held in the light of the instructions of the provincial leaders, Provincial President Akbar Khan Mohmand and Provincial General Secretary Ashfaq Ahmed Khattak. In this meeting of all level IV employees held in Dir Lower, District President Obaid-ur-Rehman, District General Secretary Rahatullah Roghani, Apart from Mehmood Khan, Sher Bacha, Naeemullah, Shakirullah, Asif Khan, Hazrat Gul and Amjad Khan and other officials, all class IV employees from different departments participated in large numbers.
Addressing the meeting, District President Obaid- Ur-Rehman demanded that the government should give time scale to the Class IV employees. And the educated Class IV employees should be given the prevailing quota in PST, CT, DMCT etc.They should be given two or two class fours. Despite the court notification, one class four employee recruited in the schools is working 24 hours a day, which is complete cruelty and contempt of the court order.
The president also said that grade IV employees should be recruited in the quota in place of retired employees along with upgradation.Awnings should be installed at the gates of girls’ educational institutions for class four employees to sit. The duty time of each class four is 8 hours. Therefore, the police should not punish class four employees in educational institutions in case of theft and robbery at night because their duty is during the day.
Separate watchmen should be recruited for the night. President Obaid-ur-Rehman also said that our demands should be considered before the upcoming budget. District President Dir Lower Obaid-ur- Rehman showed his complete trust in the leadership of provincial leaders Akbar Khan Mohmand and provincial general secretary Ashfaq Ahmed Khattak.
