According to details shared by host Gharida Farooqui, Dr. Omer Adil arrested based on her legal complaint following her statement against her and other female personalities who work on various digital media platforms.
This message was shared by Gharida Farooqi on her X account. She wrote: “Dr. Omar Adil was arrested based on my legal complaint. Dr. Omar Adil hurled accusations at me and also indulged in obscene discussion regarding me and other media personalities. I gave Dr. Omar Adil a chance to publicly apologize through legal channels, but he did not do so. I salute all the law enforcement agencies that acted quickly on my complaint. I hope justice is served and those who target women face consequences.”
According to reports, Dr. Omar Adil against female presenters on the Zohaib Butt podcast and the host and analyst specifically mentioned the name of Gharida Farooqi and engaged in obscene conversations on the digital media platform YouTube. Gharida Farooqi alleged that the two made false allegations against her and other women working in the media.
