TALASH: The mutilated body of the driver who drowned in the famous rain drain (Khwar) of Talash was recovered after two weeks. Thus, a young man died in two different vehicle accidents while 17 people were shifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Two weeks ago, Saleem Khan from village Kohey area of Shamuzo, who was driving a Datsun truck from Peshawar to Chitral, got swept away in the floodway during heavy rains in Shamshi Khan area of Talash. Along with the Khan driver, his young son was also present in the Datsun car stuck in the middle of the flooded relay. He was rescued by the team of Rescue 1122. While the father of the young son drowned in the flood before his son’s eyes. After two weeks, the body of Saleem Khan driver who was swept away was found mutilated at Nowshera in Kabul river while passing through Panjkora river. He was buried in his native village, Kohey area, Shamuzu. According to local people, Saleem Khan driver belonged to a poor family and used to drive the vehicle as a laborer.Therefore, financial support should be given to the widow and orphans of the deceased driver Saleem Khan.However, on the other hand, laborer Muhammad Saqib, who died during a road accident, was buried in Angoro Sarai Payin Talash. In another vehicle accident, 17 people from Barikot Talash, including women and children, were transferred at the local hospital Talash.
